The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for a mid-priced robot vacuum and mop. It gives a great mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.
During tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to help you map your home.
Roomba s9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the top-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and a variety of features, including a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest automatic schedules for a truly hands-free experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the click of the button. You can select the general clean option, which prioritizes the removal of larger particles like rice and cereal. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that your entire home is completely cleaned.
This robot vacuum performs well on both floors that are bare and low-pile carpet. It can remove pet hair and also suck large items up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not able to work with plush or high-pile carpets however iRobot claims that future models will be better.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims that the S9+ has an improved filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating within your home. We think this is a nice claim however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.
Its smart navigation system employs sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire house in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundaries, so it is aware of areas that require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that can combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on higher-end models. Its mopping system is even better as its spinning pads clean your floors better than a vibrating pad.
The only issue is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to allow for more thorough cleaning, but it's a small cost to pay if are looking for one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than many of its competitors, and filling it up only takes two or three times, even when you've got a lot of dirt.
For the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less aggressive than the higher-powered ones produce minimal noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without interruption. It will gently hit furniture or walls and move on when it encounters one.
The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash to the hidden bin and cleans and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is good at nagging you only when something requires attention, such as the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled due to a full dust bin.
You can also combine or create actual rooms in order to customize the way that Q Revo treats your home. This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or if you need to regularly clear robot cleaner and mop out clutter such as clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best performers in my tests cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors on the first go. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean carpets and hard floors, plus a rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also has self-cleaning bases that automatically empties and washes the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them germ-free and ready for use again. It also has a sensor system that can detect obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.
The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It is more than two feet in height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This model is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. And it has a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris and is easier to empty it when needed.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that can be used even if you are not at home. It also has more mopping modes and an intelligent routing feature that allows you to clean certain rooms or areas of your house instead of simply following a predetermined path.
The X2 Omni is the most effective robot for mopping. Its mop pads that rotate scrub away tough stains, and its motor generates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well and it increases suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does a thorough job. It has a large rechargeable battery that can last up to a week. The mopping mode of the robot is also very effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end model that offers a number of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It is able to create precise floor maps and recognize different types of flooring. It's also among the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great however they can push the L10s into the premium category. This could mean it's more expensive than homeowners need.
Designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish that's enhanced by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving around the home. In the pane in the front is an additional navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically is a switch for on and off. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu located in the center of the control panel lets you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open the app's settings menu where you can tweak how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to map out your house. Its mops also perform well in removing 98.4% debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as effective in removing sand from the hard floor and Quaker oats on carpet.
